Mr Tan is a seasoned IT professional with more than 20 years of experience in IT consultancy services, operation, planning, programme and project executions, sales and business strategy.

He was the former Chief Information Officer of Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS) and Agency for Integrated Care (AIC). AIC is the agency that was formed as an independent corporate entity under Ministry Of Heath Holdings (MOHH) to look into the enhancement and integration of Long-Term Care sector in Singapore.

Prior to joining IHiS and AIC, Mr Tan had held various senior positions in multi-national companies such as Executive Sales Director of NEC, Sales Director (Public and Healthcare) of Accenture and General Manager of NCS International. He was instrumental in the implementation of numerous turnkey projects such as Singapore TradeNet System, Hong Kong Electronic Cargo Manifest System, Web-based School Administration and Management System for 1,300 public schools, Pubic Health Information System and the Next Generation Application Processing System for the Hong Kong Immigration Department. He had also represented the companies in presenting innovative business solutions in Genève, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan.

Mr Tan holds a Bachelor Degree in Computing Science from Curtin University, Australia and a Master Degree in Software Engineering from the Institute of System Science, National University of Singapore.
